I can't find an eyeliner that will stay on throughout the whole school day and a mascara that doesn't smudge a lot and makes the lashes look long and think.
Any suggestions?

i am an eye liner junkie and the best ones i've ever used are Chanel and MAC's waterproof eyeliner in stick form or their Fluid Line, which is a gel in a pot that you apply with a flat stiff brush.
I really like ALMAY it stays on all day and they have cute choices for your color eyes that will make them pop for a low cost:)
For eyeliner I like to use Australas black eyeliner, it stays on for much longer than others but you may need to apply probably second lunch. Not too sure for mascara.
mascara = eyelights by covergirl in your color of eyes (they have brown, green, blue, and hazel)
eyeliner= perfect point plus in black onyx by covergirl.

for eyeliner just the cheapest kind will work probably but i like a crayon, not a pencil
then for mascara for three years I have sworn by full and soft by maybeline
i wouldn't go with super creamy eyeliners. try exaggerate waterproof eyeliners from rimmel. and as for mascara, use waterproof lash blast. wiggle at the base for volume.

well it depends on your budget and what your looking for.
because i have higher end makeup and i have drugstore makeup.
eyeliner: i use a maybeline liquid water prof liner. they i use a nyx pencil in black over it.

Why does mascara make my eyelashes fall out?
I never use to bother with it because it seemed messy.
But i've been using it recently... and it makes the eyelashes hard, but when it comes to wiping it off... i find eyelashes falling off with it.
I suppose this is common right???

You're only noticing more eyelashes falling out because they're stuck together with mascara, so when you take it off at the end of the day it looks like many. In reality, the same amount of eyelashes fall out when you're not wearing mascara - they're just not stuck to your eye lid. Why does mascara make my eyelashes fall out?
Hmmm use a good quality mascara and if you already do then its fine. .then. . . .you can use a conditioning lash primer before applying mascara...Before going to bed make sure you take off the mascara but very gently,don't rub your lashes too hard and after that you can apply some nourishing oil to your lashes as an overnight treatment. . .you can use almond or olive or castor oil. .anyone of them. .but be very careful those oils Shouldnt get into your eyes:)

Using mascara now means you're paying more attention to your eyelashes. You're probably not losing any more than you were before, you're just noticing it more. Make sure you're taking your mascara off the right way too; make-up remover.

How do you apply this Bourjois Clubbing Volume mascara...?
I own this mascara (out of many others) and was wondering since it comes with a double-sided brush, is there a certain special way to apply it (for example, with the flat side first and then with the side bristles for volume, definition %26amp; separation?? I just want to ensure that I get the full effect of this top-rated mascara.

oh i love this mascara!!! the flat side is only for definition and separation so use that second, use the big side and lash it on first for the max effect. when im doing a night look i would use 2 coats as well and just keep using the flat side to make sure they dont stick together.

i experiment a lot with different color make ups, like eye liner and eye shadows, but i've never changed my mascara color. i always wear black.
i have big circular shaped eyes. they're blue/green/gray. haha. kinda a mix. and i have long eye lashes.

For a day look the best is Diorshow mascara. It doesn't crumple and the brush is just amazing to volumize lashes. For the night look I love the Fiberwig mascara that's from Japan. in my personal experience everytime i use a curling mascara it uncurls my lashes. try this-use an eyelash curler, but heat it with a blowdryer. get it nice %26amp; hot then test it on your wrist so you don't burn your eyelid(trust me it hurts!) it'll definitley curl your lashes-then use Maybelline Full %26amp; Soft in your choice of color-but there's a trick to it. wipe the wand on a paper towel to remove all the globs of mascara, then apply working the bristles into the base of your lashes %26amp; out. too much mascara will take the curl right out. after that's dry they're pretty much set %26amp; should hold the curl, then you can apply a second coat if you like.
go to lord and taylor and ask the lady to give u samples of mascara and find the one u like.

I think any volume mascara will do the trick of thickening, but you can do more to achieve a stay-put-curl: Clean your eyelash curler, use a blow dryer on the rubber part of the curler until warm but not too hot, curl your lashes using a lifting motion- open and close curler three times or so, apply mascara with as few clean strokes as possible. Don't apply too much, this will weigh them down, cause lumpiness, and you wont be able to re-apply as easily later on that night if necessary. Good luck! Don't forget to use liquid eyeliner on top for a thicker lash line. Oh, and apply olive oil on your lashes twice a week to condition and keep them long. Good luck and stay beautiful!

Loreal the x2 one with the 2 steps, this by far is the best. A TIP when applying mascara look down into a compact mirror, and apply at least 3 coats waiting 30 seconds in between. I have been using loreal mascara for 15 years, I love it!

I am looking for a fantastic mascara that does everything...curls, lengthens, separates and possibly gives volume. But I cannot justify spending an obscene amount on a mascara. Does anyone know of a fantastic drug store brand that has what I am looking for? Has anyone tried the Lancome Oscillation? It's like $40, but does anyone have anything to say about it? What about the new Maybelline Pulse?

Since I've had the contacts a while, I've been more adventurous with trying other ones, but that one's good and inexpensive.

First I curl my lashes, then I use waterproof L'Oreal Voluminous in black. I apply under the lashes then on top. I let dry, curl, and repeat. You can add as much as you need to usually the step described will do the job. If you want super duper lashes, follow the step but then go over with L'Oreal Volume Shocking (I think it's called that....... in waterproof black) but only use the black color side. It helps to thicken but I see you already have thick lashes. I have tried so many others, even expensive ones and I always go back to Voluminous. It's cheap too. Love it!!!!!!!!

When you go to apply the mascara, wipe the bristles on the rim of the mascara tube to clean off the brush a bit, then lean your head back and apply the mascara wiggling the wand a bit as you go up the lashes. If you do it this way, you should have a nice, thick, even and clum-free application that won't end up on your eyelids =) Hope this helps!

It happens to me at least twice a year or something. It's annoying, cause there i go, to get a new one cause my old one is all clumpy and dry, and i only find that the new mascara is in worse condition!

Even when I use eye makeup remover, I have to scrub and pick at my eyelashes in order to get the mascara off, and sometimes I end up tearing out some of my eyelashes too!

A cheap and safe way is by going to the grocery store and buying either ALMOND OIL or OLIVE OIL. It will gently remove any eye make up and mascara you are having problems with, plus it is good for the eye area, and will not irritate your skin. I'd buy the other kind,,that washes off, with just water......the kind your useing, is almost impossible, to get off....I have some of that mascara, so I know.... there's a maybelline that has a brand-called: Great Lash, its just as it says... great for washing-off, with just soap %26amp; water, or whatever it is that you use, for washing your face..... Now, for the problem, your having .....I'd try not to pull the mascara off with your fingernails, because (like me) you will also pull eyelashes off. If you have some really good ';Cold Cream'; around the house, my mom used to use that to take off her make-up, with a rag.... If you want to use something else..use Ponds Cold Cream...It's like a makeup/buildup remover...this works VERY well..again let it sit awhile...you can find this in walgreens..anywhere.
It sounds like your makeup remover is not penetrating the mascara. Use a good quality product like Cover Girl Clean Makeup Remover, it's not expensive and works really well for removing eye makeup and mascara-even waterproof, which usually dries very hard. Moisten a Cotton ball and set over closed eye. Give the remover 5-10 seconds to penetrate the mascara and then wipe clean, follow up with a face washing.

Ditto - that happened to me, too. I use eye makeup remover first then wash my face and scrub my eyes. After that, I apply some lotion on my eyelashes (with my eyes closed, of course!) and rub it off. I splash my face with water, and it works for me! It might be a lot of work, but it is better than sleeping with makeup on. Good luck!

I've heard it doesn't really do anything, personally I haven't used it so I can't really say it sucks or anything. I think you should try the LashBlast Luxe though. Its kinda like the same concept but I personally think the mascara is better in the LashBlast. And the little glitters show up so it does have a brightening effect. Well it works as just a regular defining mascara..but as for ';highliting'; your eye color.No, not really. If you want your eyecolor to stand out, try using the eyeshadow colors formatted for whatever color you have. I think covergirl has some. I like almay though.

That sounds fine to me, but don't over-do the mascara. I recommend top lashes only. Also, since your skin is still so young and beautiful, you definitely don't need blush. If you really want to you can put it on, but keep it very light since teens still have a natural glow/blush to their faces. As you experiment more with make-up as you get older, you'll know what feels right for you.

I love it, its amazing. THe lip gloss... You should go and get NYC Lippin' Large Lip Plumper in strawberry milkshake I believe. It doesn't plump your lips at all, it tingles a little, but the color is great.

It doesn't plump your lips at all, it tingles a little, but the color is great.

I've just recently found the best way to do eyeliner. You need an angled eyebrow brush that is thinner and longer than most. Get the thinnest longest one you can find. Everyday Minerals used to have one, but they don't at the present time, so I don't know which brand carries one. But it's the absolute best, easiest, fastest, most accurate way to apply eyeliner.

first i put on a primer .. leave it for a while

then i put on rimmel lash maxxx because its got a fine wand and it doesnt have any clumps
then i use revlon fabulash to make my lashes thicker
then i put on a waterproof mascara to make it waterproof
then i put the eyeliner (very dark black) on the part of my eye slighty above eyelashes and lift up my eyelids and put it in the gap just under my lashes (makes it look like your wearing more masara)

Depends on the liner color. I'm a make-up artist and if you are just starting out avoid dark, heavy make-up. If you have dark brown eyes you can use a nice black or dark brown liner on the top ONLY just along the lash line. If you wear dark liner too heavy or on the bottom it will look trashy and make eyes appear smaller. The liner should go along the lashline on the top and be sure to blend it well into the lashes so there isn't any blank looking spots. Bring the line down just a few millimeters along the outside of the line. (BEFORE doing this make sure you have curled your lashes. It will help eyes look bigger and brighter. ) For the mascara a brown-black or black is nice to use. It should never be pumped inside the tube. Pumping the mascara wand will cause it to dry out. Take the wand out and use a lint free piece of tissue to gently roll the wand tip then take the wand and apply first coat inside as close to lids on lashes as you can get. Be sure to use smooth even strokes. Re-dip your wand for each coat on each eye. Let the first coat dry and then apply a second coat while looking upwards. Be sure to get the outside of eye along the ends of lashes to give eyes a full effect. Always remember that LESS IS MORE. Before using these eye make-up products be sure to have finished your concealer, foundation, eye make-up base-which helps eye make-up and shadow stay on and keep it from creasing. Apply loose powder blend well to keep makeup from smearing. Then continue with the eyeliner and mascara. Remember not to apply eyeliner to lower lids otherwise it will make eyes look smaller if it is a dark shade. If you use a blue or purple liner it can look awesome on the lower lids if you be sure to apply thin line and blend properly. Good luck

you sit on a table -mirror in front of you- , put your elbow on the table to get stability and then put in on. the first time will not be the best but after a while you are getting into it.
Ok, so for mascara, if u want a lot, u just go whole hog and brush it on and turn the little brush thing; if u want just a little bit, put it on just the tips of ur lashes and don't turn it.
For eye liner, go to a really good mirror, close the eye ur applying it 2, and go really slowly across the edge where ur lashes meet ur eyelid.

I swear by this everyday and you can buy it at you local wal-mart or grocery store or pharmacy. I use Revelon Colorstay eyeliner in black. I know some eyelines fade during the day, but this is thick and so nice! And the mascara I use is Voluminous mascara by Loreal. It's in a grey bottle with a gold lid. Awesome!!! I know these are store brand, but I find they have good quality. They are great and I've been using them everyday for years. Good luck!!What's a good long-lasting mascara and eyeliner?
L'oreal eye crayon works super well!

its a shade stick but obviously you can use it as eyeliner!
*for an alternative look i suggest dusting a colorful mineral powder over it it with an eyeliner brush, after you line your lid,makes the color deeper and you have vibrant eyeliner!*

its at walgreens and i think its a dark navy blue tube

its hard to tell which eyeliner works well because mine work well sometimes and then someones they suck
Mac liquid eyeliner is amazing. You may have to practice a couple of times to get the hang of liquid if you've never used it before, but it doesn't smudge/wear off. I have about 6 different colours - and like all Mac stuff you have the choice of about 20 colours - what could be more perfect?!
bedhead big fat fun eyeliner is the best eyliner ever...its so smooth and lasts forever. you can get it and tigi salons or on ebay
as far as mascara goes, try max factor volume couture. i LOVE it and its cheap. you can get it at walmart
dont use the walmart brand stuff, sorry but that doesnt work. i use everything M.A.C. get prep and prime for lashes-put that on first then mascara, my favorite is plush lash or fibre rich. it doesnt wear off and it. i promise it is SO worth it

How do you get a punk rocker look using eye liner and possibly mascara?
Line both the top and bottom eyelid with a black pencil liner. But before you put it on rub the pencil tip between your fingertips to warm it up so it goes on easier. After it's applied use a q-tip to slightly smudge/blend the pencil line. When you do your bottom eyelid, make sure you line the inside of the lid, the part that's closest to your eye (try not to poke yourself). My advice is to go to Sephora and buy a handful of their big chunky eyeliners - they are only $5!. They have some awesome colors - greens, purples, blues, silvers, etc!
They glide on, and blend well. Take 2 or 3 colors and mix them together. For example, line the inside corner of your eye with green, and the outside with purple, or the top with pink and the bottom with black.
For an extra effect, you can always line your waterline with a black eyeliner (for this, I suggest their skinny water-proff pencil, which is also super cheap). Your water line is that line around your eye that is just inside your lashes.
To line your waterline, hold your bottom lashes with one hand, and SLOWLY run the black pencil just above your bottom lashes. It will feel funny at first - kind of ticklish, but you will get over it, and it looks fabulous! To do your top rim, hold your top lashes with one hand, and again, aim for just below your top lashes.
Top off with black mascara - I know that Sephora makes one, but there are some super funky ones, too. Lancome has special edition ones out right now that have glitter in them - kind of sweet.
If you like glitter, also check out Urban Decay. A little glitter eyeliner goes a long way!

My suggestion is
when doing the liner extend past the outer eye corner kind of kitty cat eye style... and yah dark and thick is good for the whole eye, but especially so on the outter, upper lid.
I like to point or curve the extended part of the line slightly upward a bit and it can look very sexy and extreme if youre comfortable with it.
Dont hold back becuase its not about being natural or conservative for once
I also like to define the inner corner of my eye into a point, you can make a smaller one that follows the direction of your eyes corner's point or you can make it go down a little bit...
For mascara:
On the top lid I would cover all the lashes but especially emphasize the outter lashes
On the bottom one I would only do the outter
If youre thinking of using eye shadow or an eye pencil/crayon I would get a neon, UV bright, obnoxious color or red... then on the top fill in the lid as high as you want it to go, I think it shouldnt go up to the brow but thats me
I actually like it when I put on color on the area under neath the brow bone because it adds a depth to the color and the look...
then on the extension part, do the same upward swoosh motion you did with the liner in the eyeshadow color just above (NOT ON) the liner so you dont smear it...
You could also do the same below a little thinner, and on the outter area, remembering not to go over the liner, but below this time
Dont forget the lipstick and lipliner! I dont do anything that special with that except for the color - gotta be loud
You can also try using an eyebrow pencil to emphasize a certain edgy, pointiness - i think it adds to the cattyness...
do a kindof retro style...like bat wings...look up amy winehouse, she's crazy looking but that's how she wears her eye make up.

My suggestion is
when doing the liner extend past the outer eye corner kind of kitty cat eye style... and yah dark and thick is good for the whole eye, but especially so on the outter, upper lid.
I like to point or curve the extended part of the line slightly upward a bit and it can look very sexy and extreme if youre comfortable with it.
Dont hold back becuase its not about being natural or conservative for once
I also like to define the inner corner of my eye into a point, you can make a smaller one that follows the direction of your eyes corner's point or you can make it go down a little bit...
For mascara:
On the top lid I would cover all the lashes but especially emphasize the outter lashes
On the bottom one I would only do the outter
If youre thinking of using eye shadow or an eye pencil/crayon I would get a neon, UV bright, obnoxious color or red... then on the top fill in the lid as high as you want it to go, I think it shouldnt go up to the brow but thats me
I actually like it when I put on color on the area under neath the brow bone because it adds a depth to the color and the look...
then on the extension part, do the same upward swoosh motion you did with the liner in the eyeshadow color just above (NOT ON) the liner so you dont smear it...
You could also do the same below a little thinner, and on the outter area, remembering not to go over the liner, but below this time
Dont forget the lipstick and lipliner! I dont do anything that special with that except for the color - gotta be loud
You can also try using an eyebrow pencil to emphasize a certain edgy, pointiness - i think it adds to the cattyness...
do a kindof retro style...like bat wings...look up amy winehouse, she's crazy looking but that's how she wears her eye make up.

The only problem I have ever had with Great Lash is that, since I have good lashes to start with, its easy to overdo and have it look like I wear false ones.

The second best option would be almost all MAC mascaras, they make your lashes more full looking, but can have a few clumps sometimes.

I have tried soooooooooo many different mascaras, but I have recently settled on Rimmel London. I like the eye magnifier eye opener, in the red and black tube.
It works with AMAZING results and it is extremely cheap. Yeah, high end makeup brands like Chanel obviously make the best, but there are wonderful yet affordable options available, so why not take advantage?

I have tried everything _ I'm blonde also! Cover Girl Superlash- i fab for me. But it has it's set back - clumps like mad! It does help you keep new mascara every 3 months. Which helps from eye infections and pink eye!

Diorshow is a great chioce, I have it and I love it.
The second best option would be almost all MAC mascaras, they make your lashes more full looking, but can have a few clumps sometimes.
Also, Rimmel London, the mascara is only like five dollers but it works so good, its crazy!
I have tried soooooooooo many different mascaras, but I have recently settled on Rimmel London. I like the eye magnifier eye opener, in the red and black tube.
It works with AMAZING results and it is extremely cheap. Yeah, high end makeup brands like Chanel obviously make the best, but there are wonderful yet affordable options available, so why not take advantage?
Maybelline Great lash is what I always use. A lot of makeup artists use it.

I don't know if they sell it where you live, but Rimmel London do the BEST mascara I have ever used. They do lengthening, thickening and both together. I have really long, black eyelashes naturally but if I put the mascara on one eye only, it makes the other eye look like it has nearly no eyelashes in comparison lol! and i heard that one by lancome will give you falsies lookalike lashes as well. but i cant remember the name of it. i only know the tube is black with some gold or something.
well i don't know if it exactly matches your criterion...but I use covergirl long lashes and i've had good luck with it.
This L'oreal max volume mascara (below) is amazing, but you have to be very careful not to ';clump';. You put a silvery-white colour on first, then the black. I use it when I'm going out and I've had so many compliments :)
I think everyone has a different mascara that works best for them. Here are some steps I use for short, straight lashes.
Curl with curler thats been heated up with my blow dryer
Coat with 1 coat of Maybelline Define A Lash Mascara
Coat with 1 coat of Ready to Wear last extension fibers (available at HSN.COM)
One more coast of Maybeline Define A Lash Mascara
Excellent results - the Ready to Wear Last Extension is fantastic and works with any mascara.
I have long eyelashes anyway but when I use Benefit mascara called ';Get Bent'; it makes my eyelashes even longer and thicker. Although the name is a bit dodgy it really does work wonders! Take my advice - it's amazing!
i personally dont like loreal volume express (waterproof) cause its too heavy and when you apply it doesnt go off with any eye make up remover or water or any other thing and takes off most of your lashes before going off but as you are looking for false looking lashes this mascara does make it look like that !! it makes you look like minnie mouse and gives you a plastic lash look ! below is the link of what im talking about

Maxfactor masterpiece - it really is fantastic! Their brush works wonderfully. If you get an eyelash comb as well, youll get great looking lashes without any glue!!!
