its good until you run out, but if you don't use it often, you should get a new one every 6 months, it will actually smell really different when it goes bad. or in some cases i just dries up. but if you are the type of person who doesn't ware mascara every day you should go to the store and get some makeup preserver, it keeps it moist, and keeps it from going bad longer.
The shelf life of mascara is approximately three months, depending on your usage habits. After that period of time you should throw it out and get a new one. Doing otherwise increases your chances of having an eye infection.

You should replace your mascara every 3 months, so I've seen and read in the past from several sources. :)
to be safe you should replace them often, like every 3 months. but by just smelling a mascara you can know when it gets old. sometimes they last longer. so it worth trying.


and that's good for almost any make-up product.
i say every 3 months you should geta new one even if there is still some there cuz bacteria gathers and can cause eye infections

I have to change out my mascara every three months or I get itchy watery eyes. Other people tell me 6 months,because of bacteria growth.I have noticed a change in the smell, it sours. If you leave it in a hot car accidentally, throw it out right away. You only have one set of eyes and mascara is relatively inexpensive.
When you take the wand out of a tube of mascara it should make a wet sound if it does not then its time to buy a new one
I would say about once a month,, because it can cause an eye infection.

on average my mascara lasts 5-6 weeks but u shud buy a new one every month cuz u will get conjunctivitous if it gets to old.
About three months, and try not to pump the wand because it allows air in to the mascara, shortening its ';life span';
