How can you tell if you washed off all the clear mascara off your lashes?

Well when you finish washing your face then fell the lashes if you feel them still hard then they are not washed good but if you feel them like soft then they are clean.How can you tell if you washed off all the clear mascara off your lashes?
Clear mascara is generally water soluble since you can't see it when it runs, so you won't need an eye make-up remover. A mild face wash should do the trick!
