How does mascara affect your eyes?

If mascara and eyeliner is worn, does anything happen if it goes into your eye. For instance, your either putting mascara on or taking it off and if it rubs into your eyes, does it have any affect either long term or short, and if so, what are those affects?How does mascara affect your eyes?
i'm not sure about your eyes, but it does make your eyelashes fall out. girls that wear mascara will probably laugh at my answer, but after a while you start losing eyelashes, and when you put more mascara on it makes it look like you just have 4 eyelashes, it's not very attractive.

only eyeliner can hurt your eyes but mascara is alright my mom has been a make up artist for about 15 maybe 16 years now so trust me i no about this stuff im not even aloud to wear eyeliner... or using someone Else's eyeliner/mascara can give you pink eye.. just be careful
well i think it is different for everybody. i am very clumsy and get it into my eyes a lot haha sometime my eye just waters a ton, but one time it puffed up a little lol
it burns for about 3 senconds and my eyes water


but if i blink like mad it usually stops and i forget about it

I doubt it, it may just temporarily irritate your eyes. I've been wearing mascara for over 12 years now, wear contacts and tub my eyes quite frequently- nothing happened yet.
If you DON'T remove it from your eyes everyday, it will eventually burn off all of of your lashes.





Remove make up every single night.
no long term problems with mascara unless you actually poke your self in the eye severely other wise you will be fine.
it may make your vision go blurry for a few minutes but other than that it's formulated so it doesn't damage your eyes. :]
dont wear mascara, i dont understand why girls put this ink stuff on their eyes it's a turn off.
if you don't take it off, it can make your eyelashes shorter :)
