I feel like I'm rubbing the *%26amp;%! out of my eyes trying to get the stuff off with lotion. Is their a gentle and effective way? What's the best method for removing mascara?
Try the Shu Uemura Skin Purifier.
First you put on a layer (without water). It's oily and protects the skin. Sometimes the skin gets dry from too much washing too hard.
Second you wet your hands and wash your face. It's not frothy but it's perfect for makeup removal. One of the things its made for is exactly mascara remover. I use it all the time. It's effective and protects my skin. I used to rub my eyes a lot with frothy makeup remover and that gets irritating on the eyes. It also makes a person age quicker and get more wrinkles. What's the best method for removing mascara?
ok this is a major investment but this is the most effective way
BeneFit ';gee that was quick'; make up remover, its a bit expensive i know, but i find a couple of drops is all you need on a cotton wool pad, and then one swipe on each eye gets off all your mascara and eyeliner. depends how much you put on, but this product will cut through the make up like a hot knife through butter! Its not got any harmful alcohol in it either i think all their products are plant derived
use make up remover with a cotton pad
hold it between your fingers and go so it looks like your about to pinch your eye
swipe the pad horizontally over the lashes, but not to hard coz you dont wanna rip out lashes!
use baby oil
Any eye makeup remover OR for a fast cheap something you already might have around the house...try Vaseline. Just be sure to wash afterwards with an antibacterial liquid soap and warm water.
Definately baby-wipes, cost you less, gentle %26amp; effective too. I use it to remove my make-up too. Why spend $25-$30 on make-up removal wipes when baby-wipes does the same job for less, hehe
Baby wipe and baby oil.
Works every time (better than makeup remover if you ask me).
It's like $15 but Clinique has a make-up remover that get EVERYTHING off n doesn't dry out your skin. N it's not oily either which is great.
.makeup remover wipes ; most do not irritate eyes...they are quick and easy to use.
mary kay has an oil free eye makeup remover, its the best!
just get your hands wet then wipe your face from your eyes down then get all the extra with a warm cotton ball or q tip NO SOAP or LOTION!!!
Johnsons foaming facial wash works for me.
Some times soap and water do not work on mascara because it is too waterproof. I use petroleum jelly and apply it to the lashes and let it sit on them for about 10 minutes and the mascara softens and wipes right off with a tissue. It is good for the soft skin around the eyes too, it does not irritate or dry skin.
Are these people insane, BABY OIL??? Just use a little soap on a wet q-tip. It lets you get in the area and directly under the eye for any smudges carefully without getting anything in your eyes.
Eye makeup remover, you don't have to rub, just press the cotton ball on your eye for a few seconds and voila!
get that eye makeup remover thats like clear and blue in color and has the consistancy of water. then dip a tissue in it till its soaked and rub only your eyelashes (gently) using your thumb and forefinger
cleasing oil is the best!!!Trust me!
Hot soapy water onto a cotton wool ball
